Default is it safe V-Star 1100

I rode an 1100 V-Star for 6 years and put over 42k on it. I rode in all types of conditions ,backroads and interstates. It is a great all round bike. At 70+ mph it will wind up tight but will take it. I've ran mine at 80/90 on interstates for 2 /3 hrs at a time without problems. After YOU get accustomed to the feel of it at speed, it really isn't that bad. You must realize that top end of your 1100(if you had a windshield) will only be about 110, at 80/90 your pushing the bike hard, so you must make sure you maintain your machine well if you want it to hold up to riding this way

One other thing.......... I had a friend fall victim to this...... switching from a sport bike to a cruiser........ IT WILL NOT LEAN OR CORNER ANYWHERE NEAR YOUR SPORT BIKE ! Please take care and don't forget this when you hit the twisties or you'll be in big trouble.

ride safe
