Default 1983 honda shadow vt750c/ over heating

I just bought my first street bike about a month ago ( a 1983 honda shadow vt750c), and have been more time trying tosolve the over heating thing than riding.
flushed the coolant system, tested thermostat, changed some hoses,,, no coolant in oil, no white smoke ?? but driving for about 15-20 min coolant just coming out of over flow,, back tire just wet and shiny any info on this.
Thanks
Dav
