Question bare spot on hot cable grounded to frame now no power

i have an 85 shadow vt700c and a bare place in a hot wire grounded out on the frame and sparked. after that i turned the key on and i got nothing, no lites on gauges, lights and will not crank. i have checked the fuses on the handle bars and they are good. my question is, are there more fuses for me to check? when the wire grounded the spark came from the voltage regulator don't know if that matters but i am stumped, any help would be like gold to me.

Either that or you juiced your battery, but the fuse is sure to have blown. When the hot goes directly to ground that spark that you see is the maximum amount of current the battery can supply draining in the path of least resistance to ground.
