!!Bike just stopped working on highway, any ideas?

My 1984 honda shadow vt700 was cruisin at 5k rmp and just stopped firing. I just rode neutral to the side. All electricity was on and when i press the start button it sounds like it should start but never really starts.
could it be a killer fuel clog?
ignition coils(2) both went out?
if anyone has an idea i would greatly appreciate it!

Seriously though, I would ask if you checked the obvious: Fuses good? Got gas? Does the gas come out of the hose that attaches to the carb when disconnected? Does the sparkplug spark when you spin the engine over?

check the oil level, you may be overheating, next the fuses take them out and reset them even if they look good also check for fuel flow. make sure the key switch isnt wiggling to make a bad connection the plug/coil wires are unlikely but check them as well if none of the other things work.
