This is a really random question. I have sensitive skin and I've noticed that I'm getting acne on my forehead and below my ears where my helmet makes contact with my face. Have any of you guys had this problem? I wear an HJC helmet that I bought brand new. I might try wearing a bandanna or something under the helmet and washing the pads.

I suspect is that it's not acne, but an allergic reaction to a chemical in the pads. This happened to me all over my legs, hips and outer arms after washing my bed sheets in Gain. After switching back to Tide, it all went away.

The bandanna sounds like a good idea. I get them on my forehead from my hatband when working outside during the summer, the dust combined with the sweat and sun block causes me to break out a little, even at my age. I started using some of my wife's portable face cleansing wipes when I take a break, which has helped a lot.

Yeah, you really should wash your hat sweatband every once in a while. What happens is heat open up the pores on your forehead and the sweat and oils your body produces gets stuck in those pores causing bacteria and stuff to manifest. I might recommend using some sort of chemical that they sell to spray into the helmet to kill little critters and maybe invest in something like a under armor skull cap or something to wick the sweat away and remember to wash the skill caps.

Thanks for the help guys. I'll get something for the sweat and wash the helmet pads off.
