I am looking into buying an 85 Suzuki GS450LF from a friend of mine. He had good luck with it and it is pretty complete. It is however missing the gauges. I was wondering where I could find some. It doesn't have to be in great shape, I would be happy with good enough. He hasn't started it in about 2 years and when he did he says it revved up high and was leaking gas out of the carbs. It was sitting for about 9 months before he started it that time. I assume that the gas that was in the bowls was bad and full of gum. We haven't really tried to hard to get it back running but I think it will be easy. It comes with a spare engine and he doesn't know the story on it. It came with it when he bought it. He only wants around $500.00 for it even if we get it running. I don't really know much about what it may be worth. I would like to get some opinions on it. I am not interested in restoring it, I want to bob the fenders, change the seat, lower it, wrap the pipes and paint it satin black with an implement enamel. I am super cheap and don't want to spend much money on it. I also don't plan on riding it much.

CS90E? Hmmm, C-90 yes, CT-90 yes - CS-90, don't think that ever made it to the USA. Although the C-50/70/90 is the staple of transportation in Asia in the USA these days they are too small for our hurried ways here, Although Honda sells quite a few small displacement scooters here. Tell me more about this bike, it may use the same tank as other models. A photo would be great.

I ride a 1982 Honda CB750C. I pay around $500 per year for insurance, no collision.

I'm over 50 and have two other vehicles, a boat and my house insurance with the same broker, accident free for over 30 years. I get a lot of discounts as a result.

Thanks

I still ride my old '79 KZ1300a. I choose to carry maximum insurance coverage which costs me $215.52 semi-annually ($431.04 per year). My state doesn't require insurance if a rider wears a helmet, and only requires personal injury insurance if the rider chooses to ride 'unprotected'.

And, I also always wear my lid, just in case... After over nearly 40 years of riding - I still realize that 'accidents happen' even though this rider has been (knock wood) accident and injury free.
