Default Who owned this bike?

So recently I bought this bike:

http://www.gtamotorcycle.com/forum/v...b3230ae7e1dba9

I was told that it needs a new battery so when I went to go see it, I had my bf bring one, he hooked it up and tried starting it, it almost turned over. From the sound of it, I thought for sure it just needs some new oil, coolant, check of the spark plugs....etc. The guy who was selling it told me that he didn't winterize it, so I figured that it just needed a tune up. He guarenteed that theres nothing other then that wrong with it.

Now theres a guy telling me that the engine is toast... the one Abel guy that posted in there. I was told that the previous owner is on this site by the name of NS300 or something like that. Does anyone have any info on this bike? Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Thanks,

Maggie

Doesn't blow that bad...I got it for a pretty good deal and got a Yosh spare full exhaust too :P ...but anyways it cranked pretty good, sounded as if it was just about to start, no load ticking or clunking noises either, it also was not winterized, so I am hoping that some time this week my bf will do all the stuff required to try to get it started.

sounds like no gas is getting to the engine. Maybe the tank is all rusted up and the fuel filter and clogged?

Hey sounds familiar....I took a chance on my FZR when I bought it last November. It had a low battery and almost started, but not quite. Took it home, charged the battery and still would not turn over. I played with a bunch of things and still nothing. Getting a little worried.....then I went to CW and picked up a set of spark plugs and she started right away.

Change your plugs, get some carb cleaner and I think you'll be fine.

Good Luck!

BTW the bike looks great.

Thats the price it says, I didn't pay that not even close , have you guys looked at the other post? Mint R1 and R6 plastics come with it, and many other mods, and btw I didn't ask for remarks, I asked for who owed this bike as that might tell me aslo if it has only 13, 000km.

Thanks.
