1987 Suzuki Cavalcade LXE

I am new to this site, I do belong to a couple of other sites and find them very informative. The reason I am writing today is I am considering purchasing a 1987 Suzuki Cavalcade LXE and would like some input from other riders. My current bike is a 1999 V92C Victory, I like my bike for short trips however I just completed a 1500 mile trip on it and I will not do it again! I have had Gold wings in the past and they are great touring bikes but I want to keep my Vic and to keep peace in the family I can't go all out on the price for a Wing. I can get this Cavalcade at a reasonable price but I am not familiar with them at all so I need help from other owners. Please help me on this and keep a fellow rider out of the dog house!

Well, Tony, I'm not all that familiar with them either, but, I managed to find an '86 LXE with 15,000 original documented miles for a real good price....and I just bought it.
