Default BMW R1200GS / BMW R1200GSA Future Improvements?

As a owner of the BMW R1200GS, I am very impressed with the handling and power this motorcycle provides. In addition, features like the on-board computer, heated grips and adjustable windshield make this motorcycle a pleasure to ride.

However, as great as this motorcycle is..... there are still things about this motorcycle that I feel could be improved.

My biggest gripe has to be the clunky transmission that sometimes happens when shifting. I don't know if this clunky transmission and false neutral happens with all BMW motorcycles, but it was also present with my former K75S.

Just wondering if you are also experiencing this type of transmission problem?

What you like about your BMW R1200GS or GSA?

And what you think BMW could do to improve to the GS / GSA?

Thank You,

Eric

Eric, I don't have a GS but I do have an R110R, I find that the tranny shifts very nicely if you lightly preload the shift-arm before you pull in the clutch lever it snakes into gear without a hitch and when down shifting you pull in the clutch lever, blip the throttle then let out the clutch lever it will shift nicely too.
