What's the best place to ride an adventure motorcycle in North Carolina?

What's the best place to ride an adventure motorcycle in North Carolina?

I'm talking about a supermoto style Buell Ulysses, KTM Adventure, Kawasaki KLR 650 or maybe a BMW F800GS. I'm too old to ride across the stream, around the tree trunk, past the skunk and through the cleft in the boulder, but a nice fire road that leads to an amazing view would be great. Any suggestions?
