Default running a buell xb12r with no muffler/ straight pipe?

has anyone done this before? Will it fry my valves and what not, ill will still have about 30 inches of pipe on each cylinder.i just want to take off the stock muffler and either run it with no muffler, or put some kind of straight thru pipe on it.
