Default Bike to Bike Communications

Looking to set up basic bike to bike communications between two riders. Not looking for anything fancy, simply need to talk about directions, stops and the sights as we pass them by. Does anyone have any suggestions?

We also wear half helmets so it seems a traditional boom mic and earphone would not work. Are there any good alternatives out there? Do throat mics with ear buds work? Any direction would be appreciated!

My Son and I are thinking of the same thing.

I guess we,

MesaCycles,

and my Son and I, are the only ones interested in this subject.

Check with Chatterbox. They make them for bike to bike and rider to rider.

Like you I wear a half helmet when I do wear a helmet. I ended up getting a second 3/4 helmet to better facilitate my radio ear phones.

I bought a Collett Electronics Communicator. They are a Canadian Company. You can look them up on the Internet. The newer ones have more features than the ones I bought. MIne have VOX, and a connect point for radio, phone, Walkman. The unit cuts off the add ons when VOX comes in. It includes two channels, a private and a 'Club' channel. One of the features I like is the ability to easily remove the units when I don't need them.

I don't have experience with other brands other than word of mouth. But my system works fine. I was told that at the time I bought it, it was one of the best.

Ride safe & long,
Colorado Fats

I don't have one yet but I have several friends who do. They don't seem to have problems with the VOX.

I have a friend who has done some open road racing with his Mallett Corvette, and says the NADY is the one all the competitors use.
