carburator for the 88 Harley

Ok you guys helped with the brake light now lets see how good you are. Apparently i have an after market screamin eagle carb and i am getting some gas leak off of the backside of it and i cant quite see what is causing it to leak. again it's a 88 883 that sat for 5yrs prior to now. I had a mechanic go over it and jetted the carb etc... but i just noticed a small pooling of gas on the engine in he mornings...any thoughts of where to start?

I've heard that drying everything off and spraying the area where the leak is suspected with foot powder will help track down the source. That's the best first step I think.

And an excellent first step it is Dods. Yeah, it will make a bit of a minor mess but it washes off easily. As Dods said, be sure things are dry when you apply the foot or I use Johnson's baby powder. The powder will turn from white to gray where the damp spots are.
