Does Harley Davidson make a bike with an automatic transmission?

I broke my right ankle years ago and have some difficulty shifting gears. I was looking at an 883 Sportster, but recently heard that Harley makes or made a motorcycle with auto tranny. Any insite or advice. Could I get an 883 customized so it shifts on the handlebars?

No they don't but there is a company called Ridley -I think that makes an automatic cruiser bike . Yes you or any chopper shops could modify yours to shift by hand(never seen one on the bars) with whats called a jockey shift...old school stuff-a shifter like in a car comes up vertically from trans alongside the gas tank

yes you can get something to shift on the handel bars. its called a air shifter. goto the h-d- parts counter and thay can get you one. its an aftermarket product, but thay can get it. and no harley dont make an automatic. ridley dose, but there expensive.

They do not - and as far as I know, other than the Honda DN-1 nobody does today - excluding Scooters. In the past Honda had a 750 and 400 that were "automatic", as did Moto-Guzzi (the I-convert).
