Going from a Ninja 6 in the UK to a Harley in Texas for 8 days?
Riding a Ninja 6 for last 5 years - UK, only bike ever ridden, going to Texas and hiring out a Harley (need to decide which one) for 8 days - any recommendations, and not don't do it! Thanks in advance

Do it. HD doesn't have anything like the Ninja 600 in their catalog - and what you can hire depends on what the agency has available. The closest thing would be a Sportster - although it's not that sporty. Do they have Buell available for hire? If so try an 1125R, Firebolt or Lightning.
Any of the big twins will be very differnt than your Ninja - but once here in the USA you'll find the HD works nicely for what you need. Where are you going to hire it from?
