what's up guys and gals...As you probably noticed in the "new member" section I just got into riding about 3 months ago and have a crotch rocket at the moment. I've been looking at the Suzuki Boulevard C50/C90, Harley Dyna Superglide, or the Sportster 1200. I'm 6'1" 150, lol...Thing is, I want something that is going to get me around town any day of the week, but then again my fiance's family lives up in Bay City (two hours north), so I want something that's going to get me up there at a nice cruising speed on the e-way. I was looking at the 883 but I'm really afraid that I'm going to outgrow that very soon after I get it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance everyone!

I'm 6'2'' and about 175 and I have the 1200 Custom. It's fun for around town and it was a blast in the twistys but I just took a 400 mile trip with the wife and it was pretty uncomfortable after a few hours. I bought a new sundowner seat and it helped the wife out quite a bit. I actually prefer the stock seat myself.
Riding with full gear, 2 up was pushing the bike pretty hard on the freeway. After riding the Dyna this weekend I'd probably recomend it. I figured it would be too big and hard to handle, but I really liked it. |
