I have a 2006 Suzuki C90 T motorcycle. The windscreen is a problem.?

When I ride, the windscreen seems to be at such a height that the very top of the windscreen is just ever so slightly obstructing my ability to see the road clearly. I'm getting tired of adjusting my head. If it was higher or lower, the problem would be solved. My question is: when your riding, should you be looking over your windscreen or through it? Should I get a"higher"windscreen or should I ask my dealer to cut down the one that is presently on my bike. Any suggestions would be helpful.
