Default Oil coming out from exhaust

I have a 1981 GS250. I know, old bike. Anyhow great condition overall. It was leaking oil (less than a teaspoon) from the crankcase at night. So I changed the oil, oil filter and o-ring. Here's the kicker, I added an oil leak-stop addetive for cars from the auto store in the oil pan and filled the remainder with 10w40. Other than the usual problems w/starting in the cold (I live in Georgia and it doesn't usually get that cold) the bike ran fine until 2 weeks later oil started coming out from the exhaust. Here's my theory: the freaking addetive formed a film around the cylinders not allowing the oil to drain back to the pan filling the combustion chamber and coming out the exhaust. Now here's my question to anyone who could help. Do I have to brake the engine all the way down and clean the crap off the cylinders and replace all gaskets and seals or is there something I can do to fix this w/out digging in? I would appreciate any help I can get. Thanks.

You could try some Chemtool in the crank case to eat that sh!t out of there. You can get it at most any parts store (Autozone, O'reillys, etc.). It's in a white/red/blue can. Just follow the instructions and don't ride it until you change the oil (you just idle it for a few minutes).

NEVER use a stop leak (and stay away from Engine Restore) on ANYTHING. Radiators, engines, transmissions, A/C systems, whatever, just steer clear from that crap. It can help for a while but the systems were never designed to operate with what is essentially glue circulating in them. If you have a leak, fix it. If you don't and you use that crap, I guarantee you that you will have more problems than you started with.

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to try that out before taking it apart and cleaning it out. It was leaking throught the exhaust so I going to take the pipes off and clean what ever oil is there as well and change the filter. Hopefully that will do it. Thanks again.
