Fuel Mixture?

I just got my 1966 YH1 from my dad. This was the bike that he was riding before I was born. The engine seized up on it about 20 years ago and it sat in storage until about 1 year ago. He rebuilt the engine. The problem that caused the original engine lock up seems to have been the oil injection system. So when he rebuilt it he removed the oil system....now I need to premix the gas in the gas tank.

Does anyone know the proper oil to gas ratio for this engine? I think that my dad may have been mixing it too rich.

Barring any real technical imformation I would say just use a 2 stroke mc oil and mix it according to the specs on the lable.

Been many years since my 2-stroke-mix-it-in-the-tank days, but I remember a ratio of between 20:1 and 30:1 as a general rule. Here's a decent online calculator:

Thanks. I am not sure what my dad was using, but I have started using 32:1. This is the same as the mix for my LawnBoy Mower.
