i just got my little xt 225 registerd, insured, and inspected, and rode it around town. in power, it's nothing compared to the r6 i've been riding, but it's still a powerful little bike. i was at highway speeds easy, with another gear to spare. given that i won't be taking it on the highway very often, it may be a while before i ever touch that sixth gear. still needs blinkers before i take it to the city, but it's fine here in the middle of nowhere.
so, and i asked this in the repair section, but i figure as long as i'm posting, i'll ask here too. where's a good place to get blinkers? my main question, though... i'll also most likely put some better street tires on before i take it to new orleans, and i was wondering if there were any tires you guys would recommend for rainy street riding on a dual sport. (it rains a lot in new orleans. a lot.) or would the tires on it, more geared towards dirt, work? |

the tires you need really depend on where your planning on riding the most. If you will be on hiways/ dirt roads then a dualsport tire would be my choice.
Dirt knobbys aren't very good on the street http://www.onoffroad.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=dundual-D607-Rear&Category_Code=dundual |
