I understand that there are some Jawa / CZ clubs in US. Has anybody heard of Yezdi in US, the Indian adaptation of Jawa. Is it OK to ride in north east cities considering it is a 2 stroke machine ? What could be the price of a used Jawa in US.

While it is possible to find used Jawa street bikes in the USA (check ebay motorcycles, other makes) I do not believe anyone is importing the newer Indian version or other Chinese copies that are available. To do so it would have to be subjected to various Evironmental Protection Agency and Department of Transportation tests, which I seriously doubt they would pass. In order to be exempt from such testing the bike must be 25 years or older with the correct paperwork to prove it.

I'm fairly certain geo46er is correct on that. The only Jawa's currently available here in the states are the 500cc 4-stroke methanol burning, 0-60mph=2 seconds, no brakes, Speedway race bikes which dominate the sport. And you certainly couldn't get one of those to be street legal!
