Default The difference beween a CNS approved and DOT approved motorcycle helmet.?

i just bought a motorcycle helmet that's CNS (Chinese National Standard) approved. can someone give me the differences in regulations between CNS and DOT ( Department of Transportation) standards.(please just answer the question and not offer advice on how people shouldn't trust products from china)i basically just wanted to know the difference of standards. like under what lvls of impact would the helmet break.

Not knowing the standards, I couldn't tell you the difference.I can tell you it won't be legal in the States where helmets are required by law. It needs the DOT sticker for that. Even the argument that it meets the same or better standards won't hold up in court. ------
