aprilia sr50 fuel injection?

I have an aprilia sr50 fuel injection do you have to wait until the red light goes off before starting or just until the noise stops?I have an aprilia sr50 fuel injection do you have to wait until the red light goes off before starting or just until the noise stops and if it does not go off what does this mean?
