They are an overpriced piece of junk made for yuppies with too much money and not enough brains. Service on this piece of scrap is crimminal. Everytime you take it to the dealer (and you will be taking it there a lot) you won't leave without dishing at minimum $700.00. Labour costs at the dealer are $350.00 per hour and you pay the first hour even if they don't touch it.

I have always liked Ducati and MV for their fit and finish. I think they lead the industry in beautiful form and lines. They run well also. The 1098 will leave most other bikes in the rear view. The valve adjustments that were so expensive to maintain have been changed as of 2007. The dry clutch (bucket of bells) is used only on the highest powered Duc's.I just looked at an 880ss in white. No, my knees won't fit under my armpits any more so its out of the question. Maybe a 695 monster?? I'll have to keep my Wing I reckon. Every body has fun; besides I have yet to see a Ducati on a cross county ride. Even so ............. I'll recommend a new Ducati for purchase, enjoy the ride.
