How tall heavy are you?! Let's elaborate this question a little bit first..............and if it's power you're looking for you won't find it in a 125.....better go with a 250. Hope this helps.

300 xc or 300 xc-w(e) would prob. be your best bet (if u want ktm). great power, good suspension, subtle enough for a beginner, yet fast enough for the advanced rider. just get a NEW SEATand the mighty button is awesomeness on the 300 xc-w(e)

If you don't plan on doing any MX racing at all, defintely get the XC - the 200 has great power for aggressive trail riding, and still the light weight of the 125.They're an excellent option. If you do plan on trying out the local track every once in awhile, the 200 will still be fine, but you'll be in the 250 class, and definitely outpowered. In this case, I'd still choose the XC, but the 125 (unless you're some hulking 6'250lb beast).

if you are only doing trail riding, I would suggest going with the 200XC or EXC ... and if you are on the bigger side moving up to either the 250 or even 300. I have alot of friends moving to the very versitile 300 which is commonly referred to as a 3 stroke due to it has the hit of a 2 stroke but also has the torque of a bigger bore 4 stroke.likewise, the 200 will be more than enough power for any general trail rider, be a truly competitive enduro or harescrambles bike for a lighter rider (up to about 150 lbs)... the 250 for on up to 200-210 lbs and the 300 if you are larger OR running in the expert / pro class ...personally, I would not go with a 125, especially if you are planning on merely riding trails the majority of the time...

A 125 2 stroke is useless as a trail bike which is why KTM doesn't make a 125 woods bike. They only make the 125 SX which is intended only for supercross/motocross. The KTM 200 XC is just an incredible bike, you will love it!! Do not get the W model though. The W is great for anything bigger but the wide ratio transmission is not good on a smaller engine like that.
