I have a very dependable 05 Honda VTX 1300R with 13000 miles (bought new). What are some things I should keep in mind when traveling this type of distance? Items to take that I wouldn't normally think of? Possible problems I may run into? I just want to be as prepared as possible! Thanks in advance

I always carry spare brake&clutch&shift levers just in case, and a tire plug kit and air compressor, whatever tools would be necessary to remove the wheels&gas tank, a center stand is nice, being stranded sucks... another nice preventative thing is to get a spare clutch cable and throttle cables, and run them along the ones you have, but don't hook them up, if your clutch cable breaks you just attach the new one already in place and away you go.
