Year of the bike would help on this one but I have a few things you could check first that may be your problem. First one is the easiest but just last weekend I know some one who had this"problem"so it now goes on the lest of possible problems-is the kill switch flipped the right way. Next check the kickstand safety switch, over time these have a tendency to go bad. Check for a bad fuse, most cbr's have fuses on two different boxes so check them both. After that you will have to hunt down a short. Did the battery even need to be charged, and did it take the charge? Can you bump start the bike, aka push start it in second gear?If you still cannot figure out what is wrong please post the year of your bike and what you have all checked and chances are pretty good someone on here should be able to help you out. Good luck.
