Whick bike would be better for $10k brand new? A 07 Kawasaki zx-14 or an 08 zx-10?

This is my first bike, I am a new rider, but I don't want to buy a smaller bike and in 3 months want a bigger one. I am buying 1 bike, 1 time, to last me a while.And yes I have and am continuing to do my research. I will not buy a bike before taking the riding course, I HAVE checked insurance rates its $100 a month to insure the 14, and I DON'T need the extra coverage, I have a million dollars worth of accidental coverage on my job.
