Would a long distance trip (1400 miles) be bad on the engine of a new Ninja 250r?
I'm going to be a first time rider, and I want to get the new Kawasaki Ninja 250r. I don't want a more powerful bike yet, as I value my life. I want to start out small because I'm just learning so please don't say'don't get that bike, get a 600.'.I live in Florida though and will be moving to Nebraska in about half a year though, and I don't want to hurt the engine by riding it that far. I'm going to make sure all the fluids in it are clean before I go on the trip. So by riding that far and doing about 80mph average will it hurt the engine by keeping it at about 9000rpms constantly?I'm getting either a 2008 or 2009 because I like the styling. I don't like the styling of the previous model. That's why I'm getting it new.I'd be getting the bike in a month, riding up in half a year. All my stuff will be in Nebraska before I ride up. Please answer the question as if I had the common sense I hope you have.I know that people have ridden 250s cross country and have been looking it up online for other riders'experiences, and they say they handle the highway fine. I have ridden dirt bikes before. And I will have a few thousand miles under me before I take this trip.
