Do you like the twisties? do you live in Florida like me where hardly any exist? I have in my opinion and of course can't forget Z-Turbo's opinion the best pipe. A Akra. However, the Hindle it replaced made better numbers down low and the middle (suited for curves) after 8k all Akra and big gains and this pipe suits my riding style and roads that we have here in Florida.
The pipe that makes the most hp and where it makes it, what other future mods you have in store may or maynot be for you. You might want to re-edit your post with some more details. Rick |

Ahhhhhh. I got it now.
I've heard lots of things about Hindle, and not much of it good, in terms of quality. You can't beat the quality of Akras... The guys on gixxer.com might have some dyno charts... |

With the Hindle I had no oil filter clearance and the build quality was no where near the Akro but in fairness the price was about $480 to $1200 for an Akra. None of the pipes make big numbers by themselves. I would say more like 5-8 up to 10 hp is the range for pipe only. I have never seen a vendor dyno chart results match real world results on pipes. It is the combinations of a Pipe, Air Filter, 750 short stacks, PC3R or Yosh EMS and a good map/tune, maybe a few more hp with Syn oil and Iridium plugs all combined could net you 12-15hp on average from an all stock baseline.
Change the gearing to 16t front or 44 tooth rear or both for low dollars and a 20hp virtual hit in performance. BTW, Spencer Cycle has the Best price on the Akra's. |

Yes run all 4 750 short stacks. I heard the Busa guys mixed short and long ones. Some others tried with the 1k and had bad results. I think you will hear the Ti Force and Akra have the biggest gains. If your running at the strip (not the street) change your oil to 0 or 5w Syn oil and you can pick up a few hp. I'm no dragracer but play all i can and my 1k seldom lets me down. I put some Nutec in a few weeks back. Liguid HP thru the entire rpm range. Stinks though and you have to drain it or use it and its expensive around $15 a gallon. I have Akra, PC3r (great tuner/map) Short stacks, BMC and my best run was 158.9 in 75 degree air and raining with pump gas. I never got a baseline but was at 147 with the Hindle and Stacks, K&N no pc. |
