Honda Shadow Spirit 750 C2 or Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Custom???

I'm in the process of getting a motorcycle as a x-mas gift to my self. I'm new in this world of motorcycles and I finally came down to my best two options.Option # 1 is a 2007 Honda Shadow Spirit 750C2Option # 2 is a 2007 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 CustomPlease don't be offended if I say that I kinda like the looks of the Vulcan 900 a little better. My thing is that I know the name Honda is just one of the best. The price is around the same (only 550 diff) between the two. The Honda did felt a bit more comfortable than the Kawasaki but the looks brings me back to kawasaki. Here are my questions. Is Kawasaki as good and reliable as honda? I know that there is a 158 cc diff so would that be a noticeable difference? I kinda see the Vulcan as a more value bike due to for only $550 more you get fuel injection, fuel gauge, bigger engine, some really nice wheels and a more aggressive look. So taking all considerations would a Vulcan 900 Custom be a better bike?Pls help Tks

first off if this is going to be your first bike I would say neither.I have been riding bikes for 35 years and the last thing a newbie wants to get practice riding on is a 750 or bigger.Or even a street bike for that matter.I have seen alot of fools die because of inexperience and riding something they were not ready to control.But to answer you question, Kawasaki is just as good if not better of a bike than honda in some cases.I have owned more kawasakis than hondas because,one: they are easier to do things yourself on Two: the parts are ussually less expensive to buy.And ussually the kawasaki has more power when compared in the same groups.Honda has more of its popularity out there so in turn things cost more for them.And that"have what he has"thing gets them alot of bikes sold.Good luck and for god sakes be careful!

Get the 900 Kawi and get out there.
