friends riding your bike?

this year i will have two bikes insured, i have a couple friends with Ms and no bikes. So i know whats going to happen come spring

"wanna go for a ride?"
"did you finally buy a bike?"
"nope, but can i ride one of yours?"

So what would happen if the worst should ahh happen?

they are properly liscenced but the insurance is under my name.

as long as u didnt sign a paper saying that ure the only one riding the bike ur boys r covered under ur policy

However, if they crash it .. your on the hook for all the damages etc etc ..

Even though they might have insurance, their insurance doesnt carry forward when riding your bike.

ya i figured about the crash thing. So what your saying is only let the friend with enough moeny to replace the bike ride it lol

How does the old adage go.....the two things you NEVAH let your friends take around the block are your girlfriend and your bike, because they'll both come back f****d!

You're right it's YOUR insurance. The headaches that are caused by the unfortunate crash of YOUR motorcycle with someone else riding. (I've gone through the headaches) Trust me, it's not worth it. Unless of course your friends have the cash to buy the bike out right from you should the unfortunate occur thus eliminating any need for filing an insurance claim.

It would never occur to me to ask someone to ride their bike. I would never let anybody ever ride my bike.

I've never heard of anybody ever letting anybody ride their bike - except in Youtube videos that end predictably.

Oddly enough, it's always the people who DON'T have their M or haven't ridden in a decade who always ask if they can "just have a spin".
