I'm around 50 years old and ride a Harley, and my insurance runs about $260 a year with Geico. I can tell from comments up here the younger riders and paying some large amounts. So tell us, what do you ride, how much a year for insurance, and who is it through. My insurance is for full coverage with $100 deductable.

I'm 53, I ride an 07 Harley Street Glide (with the 96 cubic inch engine) and I pay $326 a year with State Farm. But, I get a discount on my truck and house, also with State Farm. Also, I live in PA, and have additional insurance on it, over the minimum.

I am 59 1/2 with an 01 Suzuki Bandit 1200 + 03 Harley FLSTC. NO CAR. I am insured through GMAC. Both bikes cost me less than $200 full coverage. Also $2000 of extras are covered. Live in the Seattle area.

I'm 25 years old, ride a Kawasaki KLR650 and pay about $150 a year through Progressive for liability only.Even at 23 years old it was only about $200 a year. The people with really high insurance rates are probably caused by their bike choice as much as their age.

52, three bikes, minimun coverage, just over $300/year.The high paying guys have large cc sportbike that are financed, and the bank wants full coverage. Not to mention many of those young sport riders have speeding ticket surcharges, well, probably some of the older riders too.

I think you dont have a huge responsibility of paying large amount for motorcycle insurance as your age is defining factor and most of the time you can get easy term insurance.
