Default Insurance guesstimate for Ducati 848

I'm going to get the Ducati 848 next year, but insurance is the big stickler. So I'm wondering if anyone can guesstimate how much insurance it'll cost me.

Age 23, turning 24 in august,
been riding since june of 07,
no accidents while riding,
had 1 bike theft last year,
Had two at fault car accidents: 1. Sept 06 and 2. Feb 07,
No tickets,
Currently paying $1300 full coverage for a CBR125R from jevco.

Anyone have any idea how much insurance would be for me next year? If let's say I get this a month before august when I turn 25.. I should have 30 days grace period.

A rough estimate is fine. Something around the ball park would help.

why don't you just call a broker and get the right answer

over 4 or 5 thousand , especially with 2 at fault accidents. And by the way, the 3 crashes you had on the 125 would be much different on the ducati

Agreed, but most of those were when I was learning and not my fault. I don't remember having 3... I had two very minor crashes and one drop.

I did e-mail avi few days back about a quote for daytona 675 next year. Kinda busy with school work atm to call around. Got a test tomorrow.

for me over 25 years old, a 800 cc bike was going to be $200 a month for full insurance through statefarm... Since your under 25, i'm going to assume more than 200 a month.

I think statefarm quoted me $1800 for the year for the 125.... when I get the bike I should be 30 days away from being 25. I know some companies give 30 grace period. So if anything happens in 30 days like you can M or turn a yr older.. your insurance can change.

I think I'm going to have to call brokers on friday to find out.

I think it was wingboy who said that he got quoted cheaper for his Ducati than a daytona 675. I'm hoping and praying this is true. If it is then I'm going to make my dream of owning a Ducati come through.

well the might is only because of insurance.

I should have the money to buy it. Only thing that would stop me is a high insurance rate. If it's under $4000, I probably could afford it.

But, I wouldn't pay $4000 every year for it. I would need a significant price drop the next year after.

i think you're better off sticking with a 600...
don't get a ducati just so you can say "i have a ducati"

as a matter of fact im pretty sure you're going to get raped us the asss with your record and being under 25

I'm getting a Ducati cuz I love them. Amazing machines and I've always wanted one not to say I have a Ducati, but to experience.

Yep, I will get raped up the ***. That's why I'm aiming to get it just before I turn 25 so it's a bit more affordable. If insurance is too high for Ducati i'll just get a 675 which I also love.

why don't you just get a 1098 S or a desmosedici RR ??

Or a jet motorcycle like jay leno, now that would be cool!

GO BIG OR GO HOME
