Default How do I set the timing for a xr250?

I recently got a 96 xr250 for rebuilding a friends 03 rm250, when I got the xr the whole top end was taken off of it becuase one of the the pivot bolts that hold the rocker was broke, I fixed that and now have the bike together except the cylinder head cover, I don't mess with 4 strokes very much and I am not sure how to get the cam and crank lined up for timing!

Should be timing marks on the cam and crank gear.
