Default How much would it cost to rebuild a 1997 rm125 top and bottom???

My bike recently blew up but its still free spining so i guess its semi blew. How much would it cost to get new crank bearings and a piston kit??? I think my shop charges 75 bucks an hour for labor. Thanks guys.

You haven't given enough info to provide an accurate answer. For instance, if the cylinder is not damaged, all you'll need is a piston and ring kit plus gaskets. If the cylinder is damaged you may need a bore job also ($50-$100 extra), provided that it is not a plated cylinder in which case you'll need a new one ($200-$300). Chances are the crank bearings are OK, but, check the connecting rod big end bearing for up and down play, if present crank will need rebuilding or replacement (both expensive, and not for home mechanics).Good luck on whatever you decide.
