Default Kx250f, kx125, Crf250x?

Hey guys, recently i went to my friends house to ride and i had a look at the 250x. I had trouble getting on it. i could get on it with the stand on basically and i could kinda get 1 foot tippy toeing on that bike. I'm around 5'4. I was wandering if there would be any difference with the 250F and what is the maintenance like for it. If not, would the 125 be better?I'm pretty sure they still make kx125's cause my local dealer has 08's. Honda is the one that has stopped. I'm gonna be turning 16 before i get a race bike so i dont think ill be able to race the 85'sthe kx125 seat height is 94cm. i used a measuring tape and with boots on there is around a 10cm or less distance for the opening of my legs. The kx125 is also 2cm shorter then the 250f for seat height

The KX250F is about a 10th of an inch taller than the 250X. They don't make the KX125 anymore, but 125's are the same seat height as a 250F, so they will all be the same. At 5'4"a lites bike is going to be very tall for you. If you are a very experienced rider you could handle it, but otherwise I wouldn't go that route. A CRF150R Expert would fit you better at a 34.1"seat height. The lites bikes are just under 38".

kato pretty much nailed it for you. any of the full sized bikes, regardless of engine size, are going to be roughly the same seat height ... which is going to be extremely tall for someone of your stature of 5'4"... at least starting the bike and starts / stops when you need to touch the ground ... or pick up and get back on ...alot depends on what type of riding you are planning on doing??? if you are wanting a full up race bike to be competitive at MX, either a expert 85/100 2 stroke or the CRF150R would be more suitable for you...but if you are just looking for a play bike and trail riding, something more along the lines of a CRF / TTR 125-150 (not the R version) even up to a CRF / TTR 225-230 would be a much more appropriate fit... OR one of the expert 85/100 with an added flywheel weight to take the edge of the peakyness of the racing 2 stroke engine...
