I have a 98 Kawasaki KX 250. The motor has been dropped and and all I have to do now is crack the case to replace what I believe is the main bearing. Tips?

Remove"every"part of the engine so all you have is a crankshaft and crankcase. With a"dead blow"hammer (plastic with metal shot inside) hit the crank&main shaft of the transmission (the clutch was mounted to it).Or you can use a heavy hammer with a block of wood so you don't damage the transmission or crankshaft ends.It will help if someone could hold the right crankcase.
