cr250 starting problem?

have cr250 not riden for a while started it last friday ran ok but died took plug out no spark spent weekend checking wires still no spark put back in today and bike started and stopped after short spin but may be from carb problem float sticking but i took plug out no spark put plug in bike started so i cant understand why plug wont spark when out

Coil might be bad. What year is the bike? What kind of plug are you using?

Try getting a fresh plug (brand new). These plug (ngk) are very sensitive.
