honda cr250 WEAK SPARK?

aup lads i have a honda cr250 i brought this only last week and i got told the coil needed changing so i did so and there is only a very weak spark so i changed plug and same thing:( any ideas?

Hrm... Spark plug wire... Battery connections.... magneto\alt. It could also just be the spark plug itself. It could be running rich or something and fouling the spark plug.

Did you get the right type coil? Hope so... the coil is bolted to the chassis, right? Use emery paper on that very spot, make it very clean and apply some vaseline.Did you gap the plug? Do so. Is your battery shot? Has it got any liquid in it? Does it over/under charge? Rectifier ok? Usually they are on CRs.. what else.. check all fuses/connections, clean everything with WD40, including the kill switch, wipe it clean then use grease or vaseline.. plugs can be defective from new especially NGKs...
