will a 2001 carb carburetor off a cr250 fit on a 97 cr250?

i have been having trouble with this carb and may get a 2001 cr250 carb for my 1997 cr250, but wondering if it will be a dierct fit. anyone know if they are interchangable.

Ask a Honda Dealer.

No they wont. There slightly different shape. There will be modifications made. The holes wont line up at all.Try ringing mackuhni (cant spell)
