Default Will a Yamaha FZ1 make a good two up touring bike?

Haven't had a chance to run down and try them on for size. Will the FZ1 make a good sport touring bike for my wife and I? Little concerned that the rear seat may be a little small. Oh, and its a 2002 FZ1 (Gen 1) so it doesn't have the split seats. <br />

Short answer... NO

Sport bikes, in general, do not make good touring bikes for two-up riding. The passenger accommodations are too small and cramped for serious long-distance trips. If you want a good two-up Yamaha, look at the FJR series bikes.

if your trip is a day then FZ1 would be great for two up.if trip is more than day worth and she has a weak back then she might complain.
