Default Ducati 999 mod help

I love my 05 999 except for 2 issues
HEAT as soon as the gauge gets past 175 degrees my left calf starts to burn and when the temp is in the 204-219 range I can't keep my leg near the bike or I end up with a real burn even through jeans. Anyone have any ideas or aftermarket solutions to cool this beast?

Handle bars - they slant down, I heard someone say a kit exists to straighten them and save your wrists anyone know a link or shop in MA that can do this?

Otherwise I wouldn't trade her for anything!

my zx14 does just about the same thing really as far as temperature. in my experience it is pretty common for newer sport bikes to always run at 200+ degrees often 220+. Riding it in anything but jeans is not an option.

I've many alleged "drag racers" going through the hassle of putting engine ice in their bike but seems more like just a well marketed product to me.

Probably on the handlebars what you're looking for could be found by searching for "ducati 999 handlebar risers".
