Dry clutch vs wet clutch, pro's and con's?
I have been looking at buying the MV Agusta f41000 or the Ducati 1098, I have only ever owned wet clutch jap sports bikes, I went to the Ducati dealer to ride the 1098 and they only had the 848 for me to ride, (which I liked, but want more grunt) which has a wet clutch not the dry that the 1098 comes with. Are dry clutches a big hassle to use on the street, I know they are mainly used for racing, and my mates are telling me to steer clear of the 1098 because of the dry clutch, but surely if it was that bad they would only install it on higher models than the base 1098. Most of my mates race bikes so there input is steering me towards the MV, but none of them have owned or raced Ducati's so I would like your opinion, I like the Ducati's more but this could sway my decision, Thanks for the help.
