The bike runs fine but most of the time, the needle temperature is no where near half way, probably a quarter after the bike has been running for hours. Is that something bad? I'm thinking engines are supposed to run at a certain temperature. I know too hot is bad, but isn't too cold bad also? What should i do or just leave it?

I'm 99% sure the bike is running at the right temp and the guage is indicating the wrong temp.Only problem you MIGHT have is your fan not going on because the thermal switch isn't working. As long as the bike is idling w/ the choke closed, you're fine.
