new kawasaki ninja 250 question?

just got a new ninja 250, and there is a sticker on the tachometer, it says dont exceed 4000rpm when under 500miles. going 45+ MPH im well into the 6000rpm. whats going on?lol i know that in 5th gear its in above 6000rpm
