Honda Spirit or Suzuki C50?

I have been riding motorcycles for a little while now. I have owned both a Suzuki SV650 and a Ninja 650R. I have decided to move to a cruiser and am debating between the Honda Shadow Spirit 750 (the shaft driven one) and the Suzuki C50 (also shaft driven). I went and sat on both of them today and they both felt pretty good to me. I like the plain jane style of the Spirit better though. How to these to compare in performance? Whats the gas mileage like? Acceleration? How do they feel at highway speeds? I am only 5'7"and weigh about 175lbs. I will be using this bike as a commuter traveling around 75 miles a day with the occasional long trip. I rarely if ever do 2 up riding.I will be buying a 2007 model. Don't know if that helps at all.

I own a 05 Suzuki M50, same engine as the C50, and my M50 has been a constant problem and lemon since I owned it! When it is running it has good acceleration but when you go past 60 mph it vibrates and wobbles so bad it feels unsafe. It blows black smoke from the exhaust, it backfires, gas mileage is poor at around 26 mpg, the rear suspension stinks, it has no re-bound, and out on the open road it bounces ur head off.I suggest the Honda 750
