Default Used Suzuki SV650 or 2008 Kawasaki Ninja 250R?

Im confused on which one to get...I love the look of a customized streetfighter SV650...sidemounted mirrors, different headlight, etc. Plus the power advantage. Would have to find a used one thoughI like the appeal of a brand new bike ($3500) and the look of the Ninja 250R with the solo seat cowl also.Dont say Harley either I dispise themThis wont be my first bike.....whoopsI've raced supermoto for 2 years..and have ridden a 2005 CBR600RR for a couple weekend trips

if you've ridden 600's b4, and obviously fully licenced, why would u drop down to 250cc?trust me, the ninja's r hot, but not reliable at all.and the diff between the 2 is huge, ones sports and ones sports tourer.U could go a Yami R6, they're super reliable, i've had 2.or a GSRX750. Dont downgrade ur cc's, you'll b disappointed.needless to say, when i rode my CBR250RR way back when, I gave an SV650 a run for their money. So if u want a 250, go for the fireblade.

I tried out a Ninja 250 in my motorcycle training course, and got to compare it to other bikes in the fleet. I found it's need to be "wound up" in the higher revs to be very irritating. Of course this was after riding around all day on a single cylinder Yamaha XT250 dual-sport, which has tons of torque low down in the rev range. A 650 with an engine tuned to give lots of torque at all ranges would be so much more pleasing as a bike to use in all riding conditions. That said, a Ninja 500 (also called EX500 here in Canada) would also suffice as a definite improvement over the 250. Certainly lots of people ride Ninja 250's and enjoy them as a starter bike, but a slightly higher cc engine would involve less "screaming" of the revs in order to get desired performance out of it.
