I have a 1992 Honda Shadow VT 1100 that wont start. It has a brand new fully charged battery. When I turn the ignition on and hit the starter button it acts as though the battery is dead. All the cables are clean and tight.I even hooked my engine jump starter to it to try and give it some extra juice with now luck.Could the starter be pulling too many amps? Could it possibly be the rectifier or the alternator? I'm at a lose on this and not sure where to go from here. Any help or sugestions would be greatly appreciated. Iwant to ride as soon as the weather gets better. Thanks

It's most likely your starter solenoid. Take a heavy duty jumper wire and jump from the positive side of your battery to the starter side of the solenoid and it should crank. If it does, replace the solenoid.
