Can I use a fuel pump for a 750cc engine in my 700cc honda shadow?

Really I would like to know if in general I can use similar parts for this sort of thing. I found a good fuel pump on eBay for a 750cc. I don't know if it will provide too much pressure for a 700cc or if they could be interchanged without much concern.I'm interested in a cheap fix with stock type parts.

If it will bolt up, then you can use it. If it puts out too much pressure, get a regulator

you could use a pump from anything be it a 100 or a 500,you have floats in carb that will stop excess fuel getting through

what year of bike ?are you sure it even has a fuel pump ?

yes,the 700 is the same bike but had to reduce its displacement because of a tarrif tax Harley Davidson had put on over 700cc bikes.And the differance between the V-twin Shadows and the V-Twin Harleys ? Honda V-twins have their oil on the inside.
